Our Story

We Built This Business on Straight Talk

There’s a version of appliance repair where a technician shows up, throws out a scary number, and leaves with your money whether or not the problem is actually solved. We started this business because we’d heard too many of those stories from Aurora homeowners — people who paid hundreds of dollars for a repair that didn’t last, or got talked into replacing an appliance that had years of life left in it.

We’re independent. Not a franchise, not a subcontractor for a national dispatch service. When you call us, you get one of our technicians — someone who’s been running routes through Aurora long enough to know that 80016 has hard water that eats ice makers on a schedule, that 80014 condos have 28-inch kitchen openings where replacement isn’t really an option, and that a start relay failure on a garage fridge in July is a $100 fix, not a compressor replacement.

We work primarily on refrigerators. That focus matters. A generalist appliance service that works on washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, and refrigerators treats refrigerators as one-fifth of the job. We’ve spent years specifically on refrigerators — the sealed systems, the control boards, the water paths, the specific failure patterns by brand and model year. That depth makes a real difference in diagnostic accuracy and in knowing when a repair is genuinely worth doing.

Our Process

What to Expect on Every Service Call

We don’t make you fill out a form and wait. Call (720) 606-7970 and you’ll talk to someone who can give you a cost range on the phone based on your brand, model, and symptom.

Step 01

Phone Triage

Tell us the brand, model, and symptom. We give you a realistic cost range before scheduling — no surprises when the tech arrives. Samsung French door not making ice in 80016? We already know the failure pattern.

Step 02

Same-Day Dispatch

Calls before noon usually get same-day service. We give a two-hour arrival window, not a six-hour block. Our tech arrives with parts for the most common failures already on the truck.

Step 03

Honest Diagnosis

We identify the actual problem before recommending a fix. We don’t quote compressor replacements before checking the start relay. Diagnostic fee is $75, applied in full to any repair we perform.

Step 04

Repair or Honest Pass

If the repair cost approaches replacement value on an old unit, we say so. We’d rather lose a job than have you spend $400 on a machine that fails again in four months. You get our honest recommendation either way.

Why Local Matters

What You Don’t Get From a National Dispatch Service

Large appliance-repair chains and home-warranty dispatch networks route calls to whoever is available, not whoever knows your neighborhood. Here’s what that difference looks like in practice.

🔧

Aurora-Specific Diagnostics

Aurora’s water hardness runs 12–18 GPG — some of the highest in metro Denver. Hard water accelerates ice maker failures, clogs water filters fast, and leaves deposits in valve seats. A tech who’s serviced 80016 and 80013 calls for years already knows this. A national dispatch tech starting cold doesn’t.

⚡

Xcel Energy Outage Knowledge

Aurora sits on the eastern grid and experiences surge events when Xcel restores power after summer storms. These surges kill control boards and start relays on refrigerators that look fine otherwise. We ask about recent outages as a matter of routine — it changes the repair path entirely.

🌡️

Summer Heat & Garage Units

At 5,436 ft elevation and 90°F+ summer temps, garage refrigerators in Aurora work outside their rated ambient range June through August. Compressor overloads that look like compressor failures are often condenser coil or fan issues. We account for season and placement in every diagnosis.

🏠

Condo & Townhome Reality

A large share of 80014 and 80011 are condos and townhomes with 28-inch or narrower kitchen openings. We know before arriving that replacement isn’t always a simple option — which means we’re more thorough about finding a repair path before recommending you look at new units.

📞

No Dispatch Middleman

National services take a call, assign it to a subcontractor, and mark a margin. You don’t know who’s showing up or what they know. When you call us, our own tech takes the job. The person who answers the phone and the person who arrives have the same goal: solve your problem efficiently.

🔩

Parts Stocked for Aurora’s Brands

Aurora is a Samsung and LG heavy market — a lot of the housing built in 80016 and 80015 in the 2000s–2010s got French door and side-by-side units from those brands. We stock the high-frequency failure parts for those specific models, which means most repairs happen in one visit.

Our Standards

How We Approach Every Repair

OEM or Equivalent Parts Only

We use manufacturer-sourced parts or quality equivalents that meet OEM specs. Cheap aftermarket parts reduce repair longevity — especially on ice makers and control boards. If a part has a high failure rate in service, we won’t stock it regardless of the margin.

We Document the Repair

You get a written summary of what was found, what was replaced or adjusted, and what to watch for. If the same issue recurs within our warranty period, we come back. No arguing, no proving the same part failed — we stand behind the work.

Repair Warranty Included

All parts and labor are warranted. If a covered repair fails within the warranty period, we return and fix it at no additional charge. We’re local — you can call back the same number and reach the same team.

Transparent Pricing Before Work Starts

We provide a flat-rate quote for the repair before we begin work. The price we quote is the price you pay. If we open the unit and find an additional problem that changes the scope, we discuss it with you before proceeding — not after.

Common Questions

What People Ask Before Booking

Are you a franchise or a locally owned business?
We are an independent, locally operated refrigerator repair service based in Aurora, CO. We are not affiliated with a national franchise, a home warranty dispatch network, or a third-party booking service. When you call, you’re reaching our team directly.

Do you work on all refrigerator brands?
Yes. We work on Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, GE, Frigidaire, KitchenAid, Maytag, Bosch, and most other residential brands. We specialize in refrigerators specifically — not a multi-appliance generalist service — which means deeper model-level knowledge across the brands we commonly see in Aurora.

What if you diagnose a problem that isn’t worth repairing?
We’ll say so. If the compressor is failing on a 20-year-old unit and the repair cost is close to the value of a comparable replacement, we tell you that honestly and charge only the $75 diagnostic fee. We’d rather give you accurate information than take a repair job that won’t last.

Do you give estimates over the phone?
Yes — for most common failures. Tell us the brand, model number, and symptom and we can usually give you a realistic cost range before scheduling. This isn’t a binding quote, but it gives you a clear picture of what to expect so there are no surprises when the tech arrives.

How quickly can you come out?
For calls made before noon, same-day service is usually available. We cover all Aurora ZIP codes seven days a week and give a two-hour arrival window. We also serve Centennial, Parker, and parts of southeast Denver on a scheduled basis.

What areas do you cover?
All eight Aurora ZIP codes: 80010, 80011, 80012, 80013, 80014, 80015, 80016, and 80017. We also regularly serve Centennial, Parker, and Southeast Denver. Call us if you’re on the edge of our service area — we’ll let you know whether we can get to you.
